Whew

All apologies for my silence. I was slammed with a twenty-four hour stomach bug, the kind that makes you question the universe at five a.m.

But we're all better now. We hope. It's Super Bowl Sunday, and even more than the commercials, I'm excited about watching a game that has the potential to be very, very good.

My own prediction: The Patriots win by a field goal, with a score of...let's say...27-24. Tom Brady gets another MVP, and his ticket to Canton.

Close enough. Spread's what matters anyway, not actual score. I confess to not caring enough to see who won MVP.

Wow Matt, bring on the sports commentary. I mean really, you nailed the spread! What are the odds? (If you can answer that, then I'd suspect bookkeeping in your past)

Despite living in a college town rabid for football with a huge underground gambling scene, I know little of the science, and I plan on keeping it that way. I only keep up with the spread and over/under for fun, as a way of determining what folks in the know think of a game.
