mewithoutYou

I never got into Bleach. When I was fourteen and they first broke out, they seemed to me to be CCM's answer to Nirvana. I never really got over that. As I've said before, I'm not much into CCM. My favorite "Christian" band, though I doubt they'd describe themselves as such, is the amazing mewithoutYou. Post-punk, very-D.C. sounding. Just an incredible band. Sample these lyrics:

But if I didn't have You as my guide
I'd still wander lost in Sinai
Counting the plates of cars from out-of-state
How I could jump in their path as they hurry along!
And You surround me, You're pretty but You're all I can see
Like a thick fog...

And that was supposed to, what, attract us to them?

I have to agree with Matt on this. Not only is mewithoutYou a good recorded band, but they put on one heck of a live show. I haven't heard the new record yet, but "A-->B Life" was incredible.

Mark: Not necessarily. I was just pointing out an example of a very talented and very artistic band made up of believers. It might not attract you to them, but then again, I'm not attracted to 99% of the drivel that is "Christian" music.

The new album is so amazing! One of the top 10 in my collection.
