GOP Will Expel, Not Censure, Bob Ney

From the AP regarding the Abramoff scandal:

House Republican leaders vowed Friday to expel convicted Rep. Bob Ney "as our first order of business" after the elections unless he resigns.

Not censure, not wrist slap, not bloviate; expel. Again, as with Foley, this is the right thing to do even if it mean losing control of the House of Representatives.

Did anyone drown in a river this time?

You know, as a cyclist and something of a car-hater - and especially drunk drivers, I'm very disturbed and outraged by Kennedy's actions of four(?) decades ago. Just as I am with Laura Bush's accident where she ran a red light and caused the death of her then-boyfriend four decades ago.

But really, the issue is our auto policies surrounding driving. It really seems lame to most people, I suspect, when people continually bring up this ancient news. Get over it.

Or, if you want to bring it up, be sure to bring up Laura Bush's car wreck fatality, as well. And former Miss America (and current spokesperson for AAA!), Heather French Henry. And probably dozens other politicians of both parties who've caused deaths and injuries by their driving and by their drinking.

To continue to isolate Kennedy (whose actions were deplorable) makes those who do so appear to be partisan hacks and not someone truly concerned about the issue.

Ted Kennedy is a despot, a cheat, a jerk, and needs jail time. I can't think of a more fitting example of "get him out of a control position". As for "get over it", it was not necessarily an accident as there was never an investigation to tell us if it was or wasn't. Until this possible homicide for which there is no statute of limitation is fully investigated, this "partisan hack" will not shut up as long as democrats scream bloody murder over an email or two when they are guilty of real life murder. Wandering for 10 hours, sleeping off a drunk, and he actually was able to swim against the river's flow? Give me a frikkin' break. Until the dems throw out Kennedy, his son, KKK Byrd, and Landfill Harry, they can keep their accusations under wraps. Truly their pot is blacker than than the conservatives' kettle.

AND!!! What MORON would assume that if a politcal party, heavy on "political", adhere's to high morals, I want to quote (paraphrase) Adlai Stevenson: If you've reached the point at which you are running for president, you are corrupt. To what extent is up for discussion.

I for one will not cease to point, accuse, scream at, rant and pound on the Kennedy/Mary Jo apparent MURDER until someone reopens the case. Email to a page? Suspicions of page prank? Being one of several from both parties to succomb to greed via Abramoff? Pleeeeeeeaze. big. hairy. deal. Jail Kennedy first, BJ Clinton second, then call me.

"get over it" indeed. In a pig's (Ted's) eye.

Well, if you want to keep bringing up old cases that maybe should have led to jail time, let's not forget Reagan's war crimes - for which he was convicted - for supporting terrorists in Nicaragua.

I'll say it again: Start supporting ALL similar crimes (not that war crimes is in any way NEARLY comparable to one possible manslaughte charge) or have people think of you as just a partisan hack.

Dan, you speak of a trial for which there was an investigation and disclosure, a judge and a jury. I speak of a coverup in which there were threats, bribes and lies. Nixon was a choir boy next to this Thing.
