Fred Thompson, Presidential Candidate?

One of the most intriguing potential presidential candidates hasn't even declared yet and is having an effect on the race: former Republican Senator Fred Thompson. John Fund of Opinionjournal.com has a terrific interview with Mr. Thompson in which he discusses a possible presidential run.Personally, I hope he will run simply because it will vastly improve the field of potenital candidates.

I am in total agreement. I rememer him as a very straight shooter during the confirmation hearings with, I think it was, Clarence Thomas. He doesn't seem to care about polls and says it like it is. He is also a statesman. He ddn't back down on his principles. I am not totally sure of his postions and will withhold further judgment until I know those.

This is one life-long democratic that will vote for Fred Thompson if he is a presidentail candidate. I believe he will draw the line in the sand of right and wrong for the USA, and do what is right regardless of politics. Go get'em Fred.

Fred Thompson is the only non-career politician that is in the running. That alone should qualify him for every U.S. voter to take a good long look at him. Our country is in a big mess and there is enough to spread around on both
Democratic and Republican Parties. I, for one,
am SICK and TIRED the way our government is run.
This is the fault of both parties, career politicians, the bureaucracy and big business.
They're all selling out our heritage and country.

Mr. Thompson is a wise and deliberate thinker. His core values are historical, highly ethelical,
and constitutionally sound. His focus is on doing the right things which will endure the test of time and preserve our nation's values and security. We must have him as our President
